Dead Fetus was brought to life in 1990 by the deranged minds of Paul Danaher, Nick Sebock and Jason Hamel. With musical influences ranging from Autopsy, Incantation, Nuclear Death, Immolation, Celtic Frost and Venom. Cinematic influences would include Nekromantik, Cannibal Holocaust, Gates of Hell, and Zombie. The three decided to sicken, disturb and offend as many people as possible…

The demo was recorded in 1991 at 12:00am by Scott Caroll from Cianide. The goal was to keep the raw sound of pure heavy sickness. Songs included were: Afterbirth, Goretopsy, Aborting the Christ, Vomit of the Priest and Fetus Scraper. Dead Fetus also liked to use dueling vocals to create a demonic effect-along with the massively tuned down guitar and distortion on the bass. The drums had to be muffled more for the recording but live sounded like cannons exploding through your chest cavity.

Dead Fetus live shows were sick-plain and simple-sick, disturbing and deranged The shows consisted of gut wrenching heaviness and roadkill being ripped apart and eaten in between songs and during songs. Sado-masochist torture flyers were also thrown out into the audience-so sick the one show was even shut down temporarily by the police at a venue in Indiana.

Dead Fetus went their separate ways in 1993.
Jason Hamel disappeared and whereabouts are unknown. Paul Danaher went on to other music projects and is still in contact with Nick. Nick Sebock went on to do some work with the band Morgue doing some studio recording and some U.S. tours and then joined Cianide recording a song for the compilation “In Memory Of Celtic Frost”
